Presented my B.S. thesis work, Recency-Aware Session Representations for Real-Time Purchase Propensity Prediction, at UBMK 2026. The study was supervised by Prof. Mehmet S. Aktaş.
Graduated from Yıldız Technical University in Computer Science with High Honors (GPA 3.72/4). Thesis on user navigation behavior modeling became UBMK 2026 paper.
Spoke with NVIDIA's developer community managers about where AI stands in Türkiye and how COSMOS fits into it, sharing work from the lab and my own.
My thesis was chosen among the top 10 projects of 2026 in the YTU Computer Science department. I presented it to the faculty and jury.
Presented COSMOS's work and mine at Hugging Face Builders, an open-source AI meet-up for the AI community.
Presented Following Ariadne's thread at ICETAI 2026: how different training-data strategies teach LLMs to reason spatially.
Joined Baykar as an LLM & VLM Researcher, working on domain-specialized language and vision-language models.
Wrapped up three years as a T3 Foundation Rising Star scholar (2022-2025).
Improving reasoning abilities of large language models via logic games received the Best Paper Award at UBMK 2025. The paper trains small LLMs to reason better through structured logic-based tasks.
Won 1st place in the TEKNOFEST national Turkish NLP competition with a legal decision-support system: a Turkish-law embedding model, agentic legal retrieval and reasoning, and a graph-based document analysis tool.
Interned at ASELSAN, building flight-simulation components and C/C++ TCP/UDP modules.
Interned at Baykar on LLM domain adaptation and advanced RAG systems for internal workflows.
Presented our Turkish web corpus paper, Creating a large clean web corpus for Turkish, at ICMI 2025 in Michigan, USA.
Invited to present COSMOS's work at Stratcom Summit 2024 in Istanbul (13-14 December), an international summit organized by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications on the impact, risks and transformation AI brings to communication. We went as a team and ran a corner where we showed our models and projects to participants.
Completed the AI Specialization Program of Türkiye's Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Our paper Optimizing large language models for Turkish was presented at ASYU 2024.
Co-organized ARTLAB, an AI conference with invited speakers on the latest trends, the industry-academia landscape and what comes next, as a member of Skylab AI Research Lab (YTU CS Club).
Our paper Cosmos-LLaVA was presented at IDAP 2024: Turkish's first large-scale multimodal datasets and a vision-language instruction-following model.
Helped organize the T3 AI Hackathon, Türkiye's first national AI hackathon, as part of TEKNOFEST 2024.
Joined YTU COSMOS as an undergraduate researcher, working on open-source Turkish language, vision-language and embedding models.
Took part in TEKNOFEST 2023 as a representative of the T3 Foundation.
Selected as a T3 Rising Star scholar (renewed for 2023-24 and 2024-25).
Started my Computer Science degree at Yıldız Technical University.
